App Isn't Showing Up in Listing

Apps aren't shown in the Sound Control listing until they have played audio while Sound Control is running. Try playing some audio in the app that is missing from the list and check the list again.

If this doesn't work, make sure that the app isn't in the "Ignored Apps" list in preferences.

Select the app and click on the minus (remove) button to remove it from the list. Check the Sound Control list again.

Apps that Sound Control can't Control

Apps that only use system beeps can not be controlled by Sound Control because they do not play their own audio. Instead, the system plays beeps and alerts sounds for them.

Most of the time, the "Other Apps" listing will control these apps.

Here is a listing of known apps that Sound Control cannot control. If you encounter other apps that do not show up in Sound Control please let us know.
